Image1 In addition to group classes, I am happy to work individually with students. Learn the Taoist 'Inner Smile', 'MicroCosmic Orbit', 'Six Healing Sounds', and 'Manifestation' meditations. I will also teach breathing meditations and stretches designed to help you attune to your highest vibration.

Each hour of instruction, both class work and individual can be applied toward certification to become a Universal Tao instructor.

Individual instruction is tailored to meet your needs and I am happy to help you create a personalized practice depending on your goals.

Please call me at 612.388.7667 to discuss further.

Universal Tao
The purpose of the meditations is to inform and train you how to observe, cleanse and harmonize your internal energies. With these techniques, you are able to take better control of your health and live a much fuller life. These practices promote a healthy physical, emotional, mental and spiritual body. The goal is a harmonious energy flow which will lead to a healthy and happy state of being.

Inner Smile and Six Healing Sounds
These meditations allow you to get in touch with the inner functions of the organs. According to the Taoists, each organ carries a set of emotions, a season, an element, a color and a protective animal. These concepts build a connection between the mind and the organs. You will learn the function, emotion, element and color of the five major organs; the heart, spleen, lungs, kidneys and liver. Then you will learn how to cleanse the organs which creates a positive emotional state. Negative energies and stress are released from the organs into the Earth to be recycled. These meditations are a wonderful self-healing technique that can be used on their own or to enhance other therapy.

MicroCosmic Orbit
The MicroCosmic Orbit meditation awakens, circulates and directs Chi (energy) through the 'governor channel' which ascends from the base of the spine up to the head and to the 'functional channel' which runs from the tip of the tongue down the middle torso to the perineum. This ancient esoteric method elimates stress and nervous tension, energizes the internal organs, restores health to damaged tissues, and builds a strong sense of personal well being.

Manifestation
Learn how to tap into the Universal Energy Fields to manifest whatever you want in your life. Connect to the energetic essence of that which you want to create and magnetize it into your being. Become the Creator of your life rather than blind participant!

From Mantak Chia
"The Inner Smile is a powerful internal healing and relaxation meditation. Deep relaxation dissolves physical and mental tensions that can cause energy blockages and unhealthy Chi. The Inner Smile enhances the energy of the organs and glands, our life force in general, and stills and focuses the heart/mind (hsien). It makes us more aware of our body and inner being, because we learn to communicate with our organs, glands, spine and other specific parts of our body, as well as our soul. Taoists discovered that consciousness is rooted not only in the brain alone, but also in the vital organs and in the more subtle sense in each of the cells. By smiling into the organs and thanking them for the work they do, eventually we will reawaken the intelligence of the body. We are often so out of touch with our bodies and emotions that we do not notice inner disharmony developing until it finally manifests itself as a serious illness. Practicing the Inner Smile daily provides a regular scheduled time to look inside, to keep in touch with the state of our inner organs, our Chi, our breath and emotions. We can then spot problems at their inception, making it easier to 'nip them in the bud'.

"Low self-esteem is becoming endemic. With the Inner Smile, we start of develop a healthy, loving relationship with ourselves and with others. We start to recognize our own positive qualities. With regular practice, we get to know ourselves as we really are; we will discover our virtues. This will help us form a more authentic and healthier self-image, one that can stay in close contact with reality."
